Got a used 06 M35 and as the title state the Tire Pressure and Fuel Economy doesn't show any info just **.

For the tire pressure i've heard the dealer can reprogram this (free?) or do a hack im seeing online where i tap the tpms to ground of obd II (six times) then drive.

For the fuel economy i've tried searching and didn't see anything (sorry if its already been discuss but i didn't see).

Thanks for any info on solving this :)

Welcome to the M forum.

For the tire pressure, have you checked it after you have been driving for a while? My 4 numbers pop up over a half mile drive after starting the car.

Are you in the Info menu (INFO button then either TIRE PRESSURE or FUEL ECONOMY)
or are you reading the numbers off the home menu (pressing STATUS button)?

To add, the fuel distance to empty will only display the estimates when you have very little fuel in your tank.

EDIT to correct.
"estimates" was meant to be "asterisks" in the statement above.

Since you bought it used, and the trouble was listed on the car's title:
It's possible the last owner did not have the TPMS reprogrammed, or it does not have the sensors inside the wheel. It's also possible after so many years, the reader in the car has stopped working.
Fuel info: The "status" button should show avg MPG and miles to empty at all times when the car is being driven (my 07 showed it rt all times - maybe that wasn't the case for 06s?). If that info fails to show, it might be the fuel sensor or the gizmo in the filler pipe.
I would take the car to a dealer for an oil / filter change. They will go over the whole car and give you an idea of the overall condition of the car for free.. They can look into the TPMS and mpg screen as well but will likely charge you a fee for that.

Has the battery been out of the car for a while? It seems like the fuel economy record has been cleared and it just needs time to come up.
Go to info, fuel economy and then check history/ records. If the car has been compiling for a while there should be a bar graph with a decent number of bars.

For TPMS, if the asterisks don't change to numbers afyer driving for a while, the batteries might be all dead. Or maybe you need a dealer to initialize/ program them to your car. In a thread I think most people said even when buying new sensors the car should pick it up but a few needed a dealer to make the connection.
