Hey all, so I been having an issue with my LDW system on my m35s. Just recently, it started going crazy and was beeping when I wasn't even going over any lines. After a bit it stopped, then it happened only once in a while, I think correctly, but not always. So is the only thing that has to do with the LDW is at the top by the lights/sunroof button? I pulled it down and took a look at it, unplugged it and even blew in it and plugged it back in, but didn't go out and test it again yet. Is there anything else I should try to fix this issue? Also, would I be able to change the part myself? It looks pretty simple, but I read somewhere that the new parts come 'locked' and you have to call the dealer?

Infinitiparts prices the part at $1900, where on ebay theres several used ones floating around for $100-$150.

Nevermind, pretty sure its all fixed. I took it out again after I cleaned the lens and replugged it in on the inside. All is good and working now.

It's also possible that you were driving into the sun at such an angle that it was glaring off of your hood making the camera see a line that would indicate you were departing your lane.

Beyond that, were you on a road with clearly painted stripes? LDW only goes off at 45+ MPH, and you will get false alerts driving that fast on un-striped roads in some conditions (some more obvious than others).

I'll often get repeated false alerts from my "chide bot" when the sun is shining early or late in the day when the shine is close to level with the pavement. It is worse when the road has lines of shinier asphalt crack patch on it.

Hi so I bought myself an 06 Infiniti m35 which I love but the ldw camera didnt work from day one. I tried cleaning it and realized there's a gaping hole where its supposed to be. I checked another m35 and lo and behold it had what looked like a white plastic stopper where the can is supposed to be. How do I replace it myself and can I? Is that lil white plug the actual camera? How do I do this pls? Might as well have a complete Infiniti than a partially working one.
