'06 M35: I just tried the Dupli-Color Silver wheel paint on a sample card -- not very good. Has anyone found canned spray paint that is a good match(std. silver, not chrome)?

I have been wondering the same thing. Is there any type of paint that comes close to the gun metal gray color of our 19" sport wheels. There must be somehting out there????

Recently I did a little repair work on my rims using bondo putty and Dupli-Color Silver. Even though this silver is not an exact match, it is a little bit grayer than the original, it worked fine for a temporary job. I did not paint the entire wheel, just the repair spots. My thought is that when I locate the right paint, I will pull the wheels and get very meticulous. Doing the entire wheel with Dupli-Color would actually be OK, but perhaps Wurtz would be better. I will get a picture out shortly.

I'm having the dealership re-finish my wheels. Can I request a different color? I have the stock non-sport 18s on my 06x and I really want a hyper-silver finish. The original finish is too dark for me.
