Hello all. I did a search and found no answers. I just purchased an 06 M35 sport and I love every aspect of this car, EXCEPT, I found out it doesn't have a spare. I bought it used and the wholesaler I bought it from was "unaware" it was missing. I believe I got a great deal ($20K, 06 M35sport, 39Kmiles), but no spare???

Will a full size stock 19" wheel and tire fit in the spare compartment? Any ideas for a spare tire?

Welcome to NICO!

While not 100% certain, I think that the full-size wheel/tire combo will fit in the trunk ... in the space designed for the spare.

When you remove a standard wheel/tire (due to a flat perhaps) and put a low-speed spare on, you have to put that regular wheel and tire somewhere! I would be surprised if it did not fit in the cavity.

I’ve seen an M45 for sale that had the sport wheel in the spare compartment and the got me to thinking that I would like to have one as well. The small spare sucks! I’ll see if I can find it and post a pic.

It will work. Just know that you will sacrafice some space in your trunk. It will not be as deep.

Thanks everyone. I see the Infiniti Parts USA has the spare in stock, but if I could get a full size, it would be that much better.

Mr Clean. If you get around to trying it before I do, I would like to know how it goes.

Will do... I did look for pictures but I came up empty. I only found the sport wheel as a spare on one vehicle and I guess it's sold.

One simple suggestion: jack your car up, take the wheel off and see if it fits inside the well in the trunk.

Simple enough to do ... just remember to torque the lug nuts to 85 to 87 ft-lbs. when putting the wheel back on the car.

Hey, great thread. I never likes those donut spares. I picked up a real spare for my Murano, but the cargo cover is about 3/4 inch high. It fits, but not 100%.I really want to get a "real" spare for my new M35. So a couple questions:1. Has anyone put a real 18 inch spare in and does it fit? Does the truck mat lay flat?2. Will an 18 inch OEM wheel from a G fit the 2008 M?3. Will an 18 inch OEM wheel from a Maxima fit?

Yes, I would prefer an OEM wheel, but it will be used only as a spare, so cosmetics are not 100% important. If anyone's put a real spare in their trunk I'd like to hear from you.

Thanks!

My M35 Sport came with a full sized spare. I removed it and went with a donut to (greatly) increase the trunk space. You will need to talk to your local Infiniti parts guy about the foam pieces needed to go around the full sized tire and keep the load floor flat. I gave him mine in a partial trade for the donut.

If you ever use the trunk much or take trips with a lot of luggage, you'll sacrifice a lot of space with a full sized tire in there...
