I am looking at getting an Iphone, but want to check if anyone has had an issue with synching it to the M's built in bluetooth system? Hate to waste money....

For whatever reason, my M didn't recognize my iPhone the one time I did try to sync them.

My wifes Iphone works fine on our M as well as my Treo. The system does seem to have an issue when switching between the two but that is minor.

I was debating this same issue a couple months ago. If you have the tech package with the aux input you will not be disappointed. You can buy the composite cable from Apple that will send audio/video out to your monitor/speakers. If you have the nav hack, your passengers will be watching youtube videos as you cruise. It's like the iPhone was made for it. AWESOME!! You won't regret it...if you have the tech pkg of course.

No problem with the blue tooth connecting to the IPhone, however there is an issue with the IPod interface. It won't charge the IPhone.

The iphone base pin configuration is different from the ipod and many (including infiniti) interfaces do not charge the phone. Another issue is that, while the ipod section of the iphone integrates pretty well with Infiniti's system, I'll often listen to internet radio, some podcasts on mediafly, etc which will only feed through the headphone jack. I just run the RCA adapter to the headphone out, a charger to the base pin connector. Apps like ORB allow iphone access to your desktop including music on your hard drive and even tv if your desktop has a tv card. Listen to tv on the commute home. Those, again, will only feed out via headphone jack.

Many pots say that the IPhone is compatible with the M35 bluetooth. I wondered whther anyone has had this success with the very new 3G S iPhone recently released and the 2006 M35x?
