Was wondering if the 06's led tails would be compatible in an 05'.

I wasn't sure if the inside rear part of the lights had different moldings on the inside..

from what i heard, you just have to modify the wiring but the light should fit right on...have you check out the jdm tailights?

Yeah i knew the wiring was diff cause it lead up to the old fashion single bulb deal and youd have to mess around with the harness, but yeah i checked the jdm clear tails a long time ago, they are nice but not my cup of tea. Ignorant people are quick to judge them as rice altezza lights.

But then again they would look good on black or white 350's.

price is nerve racking though.

that's one of the reasons that i haven't picked them up yet. Another one is the price tag: $450 with no hp gains....hehe

I put a set of 06 LED tailights in my 05. Found the lights on eBay for around $300 the pair.

But there is the added bonus of someone not running right up your backside. I'm actually a little surprised about how poorly lit the rear of the Z is. The '06 light setup is certainly better than the '03-'05 layout though.

Maybe its just me, but I think the JDM lights look like Nissan's half hearted attempt to clone the Altezza setup on to the Z. But Clearcorner's LED triplestack - that is a thing of beauty. Its more than the '06 setup, but not much more ($100) than the JDM tails.

I have an 03 with 06 tails...the 06's come with 2 plugs, the 03 has only 1 slot. Simply plug the 1 connector in the slot and your all set.
