Ok so I have been looking around for an '06 Infiniti G35 and decided I either want black or red and then I came across this and fell in love with it. But after more digging around the color just seems off to me for some reason. The listing says it is called lakeshore slate metallic but the color code says lakeshore blue metallic. IDK if its the lighting or if its been repainted but I don't see signs of a repaint unless they did a very through job. But in other pictures when I google the color I get more of a grayish blue. So really is it the lighting and it changes with the sun or just the lighting in the photograph above?

Here's a link to the ebay ad that the car is in.

The lighting and dark wheels make it look lighter I believe. Tough call.

Thanks guys I think to be on the safe side I'm gonna have my buddy who works in a dealership body shop spray me a color chip. Easier then taking a three hour drive to see that actual car and end up disappointed. If I don't like the color chip then I won't waste anymore time on that.

I agree it's a tough call.
The door jam color looks to be the same as the rest of the car, so I'm going to say original paint....except the front bumper may have been resprayed which isn't a bad thing! When I first saw my blue coupe, it had lots of specks and chips on the bumper and a few up the hood. Went back a week later and the dealership had resprayed the bumper and hood and I bought it on the spot!!! It was a huge difference.

Have you searched autotrader/cars to see if there is one with that color near by to go see if you like the paint??

Ya I figured original color unless someone did a full on paint job which I am highly doubting. Ya your right on a respray on the front not being a bad thing and even if the one I bought needed it wouldn't be that bad because like I said before my buddy works in a dealership body shop and he also does stuff on the side and I help him out cause I am trying to learn all of that. I haven't tried finding any closer to me on autotrader so I'm going to do that now and see if I can come up with something closer. I also am just going to have my buddy make a spray chip for me. It will give me a close idea. If I don't like it I'll just go back to red or black. But that one in my first post is already twin turbo so that is a bonus. Worst case I could buy that one anyway and repaint it fully and I still think I'd come out cheaper then buying a stock one and doing that work.
