Ok. I have a 06 g35 with a vq35de rev motor my mods are cold air intake and a apexi ws2 exhaust my question is when I install a plenam spacer will that make it run lean when I smog it ? Also iv been told to reset the ecu the accelerator way every mod that iv done so far is that true .

Just reset the ECU after installing the spacer. The MAF/ECU will send the appropriate amount of fuel, won't be lean.

And yeah, any 'engine' mod you'd want to reset the ECU so it can 'learn' the new setup.

No need to reset the ECU each time. The ECU is adaptive and will learn it either way. Resetting will just force it to learn faster is all.

As for the spacer & revup, you need to have a non-rev lower manifold for it to give you the gains that you are looking for. That, or get an MREV2. Either way the spacer alone shows no gains on the REVUP without a change in lower plenum as well.

^good point. I'd forgot about the Rev needing that lower plenum.

You don't the the MREV2 (lower plenum) unless you have a 6MT...If you have a 6MT, check out this website or ebay:

It is T H E best mod to do on a NA G35 REVUP engine!

Check the sponsor's out. Only brand I know of right off is Motordyne.

Here's the link to motordyne's website, its the MREV 2 Manifold.

From everything I've seen the spacer provides no increase without the MREV on the Rev engines, because the stock one is too restrictive.

Its not because the stock lower plenum is restrictive. Its because the length of the runners is so short it is for upper RPM. The non-rev lower plenum provides better torque but with the added benefit of the spacer you will get the upper rpm range bonus as well.

Motordyne is the only MREV2 (name branded) but I have seen several others produce MREV2 comparables.
