Here's the deal. I'm looking at 2 different Z's. Both are 6 spds and same color exterior. 1 is a 2006 enthusiast w/ 16,600 miles, blk cloth interior, single disk w/ steering wheel radio controls and CC. Over all condition I would say is about 8 out of 10. The other is a 2004 tourist model w/ 24,000 miles, blk leather, 6 disk, no radio controls on wheel but does have CC. I would say it's about a 6 out of 10. The 2006 is 2 hours away and is $22,999. The 2004 is about 5 mins away and is $23,999. My local dealer is trying really hard to make the deal work. They've already dropped there price 1k dollars and are going to swap a set of mint condition 5 spoke 18's off one of there 07 Z's because I like those wheels so much. Which would you go with??? This is the 06. Don't have a pic of the 04, but like I said, same color w/ the 18" 6 spoke wheels they will swap for the 5 spoke like on the 06.

BTW, I plan on boosting it in the near future. Not sure which kit yet though. Also, the hp rises and tq drops. Is there any real world difference between the 2 motors. I kinda figure they would cancel each other out.

Well i know i have the same exact car as in that picture, the 06 and it is amazing with plenty of power and the ability to easily add more i would go with the 06 it is the only model i have heard about that compaired to the others seems to have no problems.....the past and present ones all have something wrong wether its the clutch or the need to drink oil........ I love my 06 its great and you would love the 06 too if you chose to get it.

I would take the Touring.. you might enjoy having a VDC in slick conditions, bluetooth ecetera. I bought my 07 Z base for $27,000 flat.. just food for thought... I think they should come down on the price for you, be firm. Remember YOUR the one doing THEM a favor by buying a car from them, not the other way around.

The 06 engine I heard had more of the bugs worked out and has about 13 more hp. The enthusiast also weighs about 50 lbs less. Both are good choices, but the 06 is probably the best choice unless you need the navigation and all that stuff. It sounds more like you want to track it so the Enthusiast would be the best.

also forgot to say if your worried about not having a GPS system or something like that after i got my car i bought an aftermarket GPS the new GARMIN one and its great its about 900 dollars maybe a little less or more depending on where you get it......thats still about half of what the 350Z one is the dealer said theres was about 2000 and the Garmin does alot more i can look up places and it gives me all the places in the area and directions, i can also hook it up to my phone, its kinda cool for the Z too because it showes top speed ever reached and a trip computer and stuff like that.

No it shouldn't. I've heard the brembos are ok, but there are better aftermarket kits available.

Well guys, I said I was going to get the 06, but the dealer is not working with me at all. They want to give me a higher interest rate for the 06 for 60m's as my local is for a 04 for 60m's!?! Can figure that one, both from Nissan Finance too! I told him I was going to take a day to think, but if he doesn't offer me AT LEAST the same rate then I'm getting the 04!

LOL! No sooner did I type that, he called me back and said they would give me a little better rate. I'm still going to think about it being my local deal is offering more for my trade, but either way, I will be getting a 350z TOMORROW!

Well I wasn't able to get off work early enough to go get the car today and was planning on going tomorrow, but the salesman called me about 9ish and told me it sold. Now I'm looking at a base model in white. Maybe, if everything goes well, I'll be able to post up pics of it tomorrow.

You don't want the base model. It doesn't come with the VLSD.

Too late! LOL I picked it up about noon today. That sucks that it doesn't have the VLSD. Is that something I can swap out?

It did however come with something I wasn't expecting. A NISMO CAI already installed. So that's kind cool. Here is a quick pic...
