06 emission prob 2.5l altima
burned a half of tank of gas in it and the engine light came on . any ideas?

Take it to an autozone (or some such parts place) and have them scan the car for the code. Post the code here.

it was the emissions code, drove the car about 20 miles the nexy day and the light went off+

Maybe it was the gas cap not being tight enough after your last fill?

yea ,thats the first thing that i thought too, but it was tight. who knows?
