I bought this car with 4K miles on her 3 months ago. She now has 11K and it sounds like the rear brakes are squeaking at slow- medium stops. The dealer wont touch them..they keep saying they look fine, so I have decided to jsut change them out myself and put new shims in. I did a search but found only issues with the 03-05 G's. Any recommendations on pads or is it best to stay with OEM????

There is NO issue with excess dust what so ever with these pads, which is great.

Thank you in advance.

Wow, wished I had no dust issues.

But for aftermarket I've always liked Hawk Pads. Then just depends on what you want out of their lineup. I usually just have the HPS pads.

My coupe had NISSAN oem pads on it when I bought it a year ago (used).THey squealed like a pig and produced tons of black dust.

I put Akebono proact pads on the front and no more squealing pig or dust!! Didn't even turn the rotors.

For the rear, and this goes for ALL coupes 05-07 and 06 sedans, If you want to upgrade your pads with something thats OEM, buy Part number D4060-EG50CEven the fronts can be upgraded also to D1060-EG51A if you want. The stock part numbers are 44060-EG00J for rear and 41060-EG090 for front. The "D" series are a step up from the "4" pads. And ALWAYS make sure you have at least 1 shim between the pad backing and the caliper. the hardware is important.

I really, really like the Ferodo DS2500.

A little noisy, and pretty dusty - But the best-stopping pads will always have these drawbacks.

I'm willing to trade cleanliness for stopping distance. I can clean my wheels, I can't wash off an accident.

That deserves a grammy. Or at least a grammy nomination. Or at least consideration for a nomination. Or at least we can pretend that it would be considered for a nomination, and result in victory. Whatever. That was good.

You got a Cube?? How do you like that thing? I looked at one when they arrived here. I thought the shag carpet was awesome. Didnt see much else that was interesting to me though. The seats are super comfy though....

Would make a nice nanny car for a certain television personality. To me it look like something that was very practical in town, especially with the CVT.
