I have an '06 3.5 5spd. Wanting to do a few mods to it and looking for some info. When i bought the car I got the 100Kmile warranty because i was happy with the power it provided from the factory. Now I want to get more horses from it. What can I do and still keep the warranty, or atleast part of it. If I do a cat-back exhaust will that void the whole warranty or just everything in the exhaust system. If Nissan is strict with their warranty than I might just say the hell with it and do the mods anyway.

If I'm not mistaken....anykind of mods that the nissan dealer does on sight doesn't void the warranty. Don't quote me on that but when I had my '03 and wanted to do some mods and asked the dealer about that, he said that as long as nissan is the one who does the mods....warranty is not voided. It costs more to do it with them but if it means that warranty is not voided, I would do it. I would double check on this, call the dealer and ask them.

if you're going for more power most def start with sticky vents (a bunch of um all over the place), aluminum pedals, chrome wheel well trim, a GTR badge, and last but not least a NOS brand bottle of OCTANE BOOSTER. you should be pushing somewhere in the neiborhood of 600 shetland pony's by then.

They can only void your warranty if they can prove your modification caused the problem. Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act covers us under this law. IE- If you get exhaust and the suspension messes up, they cant try to blame the exhaust. However if the engine messes up, then you might have to do a little more convincing. I'm not sure if Nissan installs it that it makes that part of your warranty non voidable, because a few guys have gotten their Eibach springs installed by Nissan, but if your strut fails, I guarantee they will call foul on the springs.
