im new here. have a 05 xterra. when i was doing tv install on the xterra somehow tripped the airbag sensor. nissan wants to charge me $90 to reset it even though car is under warranty. does any one know how to reset this light?

I think this should work for resetting teh light. 1. Put the key in the ignition, and turn to ON...it will turn on for around 6 seconds (give or take). 2. As soon as it starts to blink, turn the key off and take it out of the ignition. 3. Repeat 3 times 4. On the last time (4th all in all) it should turn on once you turn the key to ON (as it did the last 3 times) but then it should turn off and stay off.
