Glad to hear that they're finally taking care of it!

Is it another 1.8S?

ckamc- i know that they are not all perfect but a lemon is a lemon and nissan should honor that... and it took a lot for them to do so...i had one dealer tell me they would not even touch the car cause of all the know problems you buy a new car so you dont have to deal with this type of things... anyway they are all doing the right thing now and i am happy i will still have a nissan and that is what i have always wanted.

okay here is an update instead of swapping me into a 1.8s (cause they dont make the 5spd anymore) i have to come up with 1800.00 for the mileage on my car and then refinance a new car. what i am going to get is 06 spec v i will post pic tues or wed when i get it... oh yeah the finance amount is going to be 14304.00 does anyone think they are pulling one over on me cause i am a female or is this a good deal? org. i was just doing a title swap for another 1.8s special ed (06)

Unless you want a loan for higher then you initially got or you just want to get into a spec. You should demand a new engine for your 1.8l and a new ECM. Have them also replace the cam and crank sensors with new. This will resolve the misfire problem. If I were in your shoes I would be pist they cant offer me a matching car for no additional money out of pocket since it was a new car. Yea I know they had problems with the 1.8l engine too. The 2.5 is more prone to it. If I want to avoid any additional loan amounts that is the course i would take. Also if nissan sees an opportunity to avoid a buy back they will. You do know after you surrender the car they will fix it. They have to it is part of the buy back process for nissan. The dealer that takes possesion of the car must fix it before it gets sent back to nissan head quarters.I have had to do several titans at our dealer before they came to get them. They sent out a DTS to test the vehicle before they send out the car carrier to come get it.

I dont know what your true preffrences are. If you like the idea of getting the spec and dont mind paying the extra by all means go that way. But if you are not happy about the additional expense I say go back and tell them you will keep the car if they do the above mentioned things.

Yea I understand your concerns with having a little one. honestly cars are unpredictable these days period. Out of the blue things occur ,as you have seen your brand new sentra had issues. This holds true on just about any car made by any line these days. It is a machine and machines do break down. With all the computer controls on cars these days it just amplifies the problem, I mean look at windows technology...lol. I am a tech and have quite a bit of automotive background yet I still have unexpected things happen with my cars. my solution was to have a back up vehicle. Actually have 4 of them, 3 in fully registered and in running condition. The wife drives one of them and should something happen she has the other to drive while I am driving another. Granted all the cars are older models so the expense is low both to maintian and fix since I can do it myself. But I still felt having an immediate solution was neccesary since we have 2 kids ourself. The cars are really not stylish and dont give you that personal sence of power that a new car gives ya. However I had initally purchased them out of neccesity rather then style.

Good luck on what ever path you take here. I hope all is well for you in the end on this deal.

Scott
