Looking to replace the pos goodyear rs-a tires with something that will last a bit longer. Want a performance tire that is also very good in the rain.Any opinions or knowledge of these two tires would be great!Have been quoted $505 (out the door) on the Kumho's and $700 on the Yokohamas. Discount Tire has a very similiar Yokohama for $626 I'm leaning toward the Kumho's because of the $$$ Thanks!!!!!

Neither of the ones you mentioned are very good in rain.

Study Tire Racks wet braking distances from 50 mph to gain clues.

good wet performance is the hardest and most expensive parameter to obtain.

Warning most tires are designed to peak around 8,000 miles and slide down the slope thereafter.

If rain performance is really desired you must be prepared to replace tires when half worn!

Sure you really want good rain performance?

The RSA outperformed the Solus 105 feet to 112 feet from 50 mph, a REAL WET Performance tire can stop in 85 feet in an identical test!

I do check tirerack and other places. Both of these tires were rated for wet traction. I was wanting to know if anybody else on the forum had experience with these tires.

The RSA's are out. At 13K they have 4-5 /32 left. I rotate and keep the pressure where it should be.They are wearing fine, just wearing out too fast. BTW, they are rated very poorly on tirerack.

I'm not looking for a wet only tire. I'm looking for something that doesn't hydroplane and something that I don't have to worry about while driving in the rain. I suppose I should have been clearer. I don't care to push it in the twisties during a downpour. Won't be doing that.

I have a set of Potenza's RE750's on my cobra and they've been great, but they weren't cheap either.
