Ok so on my 05 Q when im going around sharp corners/curves at certain speeds, it feels like the car would brake by itself. This sounds strange but thats the best way i can describe it. I would also hear upon start up the ABS system would make a weird sound and i can almost feel it in the pedal....anyone have any experience with this....

If you can disable your anti-skid control, that might shed some light.

READ and understand how your car operates in the factory Owners Manual.....abs does self test upon startup. driving too fast around corners will activate electronic stability control if so equipped, which uses electronic control of throttle and/or individual wheel braking to keep car on course.

i know that but it happens at low speeds also. i know about the ABS self test the reason why i even put that in there is because i was wondering if it had anything to do with the problem lol.

I think Mannix may be talking about the Traction Control System. It senses when one or more wheels are turning faster than the others as in a skid. It applies brakes to the spinning wheel to re-gain control.

You should be able to temporarily disable the TCS by pressing the switch on the dashboard. Also, an indicator light flashes on the dashboard when the TCS is activating.

The TCS may be activiating incorrectly due to a faulty wheel sensor or computer malfunction.
