1) The driver's side "door open" bulb (on the headliner by next to the windshield) is going bad and I want to replace it. I looked through the service manual and it looks pretty simple, but my concern is cracking the plastic lens and surround pieces up there. Has anyone had to replace these bulbs, and is there something I'm missing when looking to remove the plastic lens?
2) I noticed that the bulb in the passenger-side heat warmer is not working. Does anyone know if there is a bulb in the switch or would the whole switch have to be replaced?
Thanks much in advance!

I don't have any experience on the first question... I wouldn't think things should be that brittle yet, so you're probably ok if you follow the instructions in the owner's manual. In terms of the heat warmer bulb - someone with Nissan's FAST parts lookup program should be able to look that up. I know several members have it, so maybe someone will chime in soon. You might also call Infiniti of Scottsdale (www.infinitipartsusa.com) and see if they sell the bulb separately...

1. Gently pry open the cover lens by using a small flat screw driver. I believe the bulb is a 14V, miniature bayonet type BA9S.

2. I haven't replace my heat warmer bulb but if there a separate bulb, it could be a small T1 lamp like 7219. Check with Infiniti of Scottsdale the lamp number. I have some spare 7219 I could send to you :)

If you can get the switch out of the console and look at the back side there should be a bulb in a plastic holder that can be easily replaced, probably with the 7219 bulb that Q45man mentioned. If you don't see a bulb/socket you're looking at having to disassemble the switch to get to it and it's always a crapshoot getting them reassembled without breaking something. It might be safer to buy a new one from the stealership ($$$$$$$$).

If the seat heater switch is like the 90-96Q it should pry out easily with a small screwdriver. Look at the FSM (body section?) for location of pawls and clips holding it in.

Thanks for the advice. I did check the FSM, but did not see anything regarding seperate bulb for the switch.
I also checked for replacing the overhead bulb. I get a little antsy when "prying" anything off with a screwdriver!

Spoke to IOS, unfortunately, the seat heater switch comes as one unit...no bulb by itself, and not worth spending $45.
