Hello,

I need to replace the fuel float/sensor. I know I have to drop the tank. I have looked at a video, and have the service manual. It seems easy enough. One question on the fuel lines, do I have to squeeze the clips to disconnect or use a fuel like tool that spreads the clip?

Any other pitfalls? I have not really found a photo How to, but the videos dont seem bad. Ofcourse everything is easier on a platfrom, and I am just doing it in my garage.

Thanks for help.
Regards,
Rtr

Welcome to Nico!

Unfortunately the only discussions I recall seeing here about replacing that sort of thing is for the 01-04 generations. I took a look through the FSM and it looks like it's all quick-connectors, where you squeeze the sides and the hose pops off. If you haven't already, give it a read.

What a bummer that you have to drop the fuel tank!! Makes me grateful for my razor-necked access hole

Good luck and let us know how it goes!
