05 Pathfinder 4wd not engaging!

Hi all, I'm new to the forum but I'm having problems with my 4wd and I want to see if you knowledgeable bunch knew any tips!
So I just bought my pathfinder for another harsh Michigan winter counting on having 4wd if I'm ever in a tough spot. Unfortunately whenever I try to switch from 2wd to 4hi nothing happens at all. There aren't any noises, movements, lights changing, just nothing. Also VSC off light doesn't turn on when I hit the button, is there any relation? Sorry in advance if there is already a thread with this kind of info but considering I only found one other person with a problem like mine in the hours I spent searching, that's unlikely thanks in advance though, guys!

Seems like it is a rare issue to have, but how do you know that 4wd is not engaging? I don't recall my QX4 making a noise or anything when switching from the 2wd to 4wd. It's a pretty seamless transition. Could the lights on the 4wd indicator just be burnt out or something?

That was an idea I had. Luckly with this fresh snow and access to an empty parking lot, I did some donut testing. It seems to me like there is no signal at all being sent from the switch. The fuses were good when checked but could it possibly be a wiring issue? I did have an aux port assembly wired in recently, and I can't turn off my VSC now. Maybe something could have happened?
