05 murano se awd road noise at 60mph

just bought an 05 se awd and love it. it does get pretty loud around 60 mph or so. i cant tell if it is from the motor or the tires. are these known to get louder at 60-65 mph? are they the 18 inch meats? they have a lot of tread left on them. i am also getting upper 18's mpg combined city/highway driving. is this normal?

We have the same vehicle and had the same issue. Got some new tires and problem solved. The dash computer shows that we are getting an average of 20.7 MPG

thanks for reply. on the highway long road trip it actually got 23 mpg, so im happy with that. will have to drive it easier i guess without ac on all the time to get better mpg in city. i am having the tires rotated on monday. so hopefully it will help. i can hear it at 40 mph as well. im going to have him check to make sure they are are balanced too. these tires have a TON of tread left, so new tires are a long way off. guess we will have to live with it if the rotation doesnt help.
