On the 05 F50, the headlamp assembly includes a parking lamp(clearance lamp) that pivots (or swivels)I have been thru the 05FSM and can not find a refernce to "how or what" makes it move. There is no external gear or assembly. I can only guess it is "by wire" but where is the origanal signal coming from? I have look thruogh the LT section and the steering section. If one of you Tech types could reference me to the location in the FSM I would greatly appreciate it.

well, it's a pretty elaborate mounting bracket for a light bulb if it doesnt!!!!

I read reviews that refer to it moving.

There is steering angle sensor located on top of the rack and pinion. It is for the traction control or the VDC.

that would make sense.Working off existing sensors.

I have mounted the 05 headlamps in the 02Q45 and the really look good. But it maybe too much effort to 'trigger' the swivel.I'll put that on my backburner.

Found the answer in the 07 M45 FSM.almost 35 pages!!!!It's called AFS Active front-lighting system.pretty involved.....
