05 g35x navigation update error

Got the 6.7 upgrade disc from navigation.com

The install stalls about 2/3 of the way through. I will get an error message every time at the same point that says "disc not accessed". It will then tell me to put in program disc. Then it will timeout and retry, but it will keep getting stuck at the same point. Now the maps/navigation won't even work. It is permanently stuck in "install mode".

I can't run the navi system anymore?

Anyone have any thoughts on why this happens? Is there a cure

I ended up running the 6.6 program install disc and it took over 1 hour to finally install the updated software. Then install the disc.... it should work.
