All the other 3 - G35 sites discuss this happening just after installing a CAI or modification of the intake system on manual tranny vehicles when placed in neutral at speed.
Just like what happens when you use a cone fliter in close proximity to maf element the calibration changes because the air flow turbulence changes.
I have seen cases where a maf will read lower with a cone filter than oem the exact oposite from what you would expect..........however the leaner mixture [from the 0.1 volt lower signal] makes at bit more power on the dyno.
The screen filter on maf is designed to isolate the MAF somewhat but in a sudden shockwave from a TB closing it may distrupt the signals long enough for ecu to hiccup...............a combo problem from drive by wire TB and maf scan time......................a longer time constant [maf sample/change rate] could cure the problem.
As far as I have read everyone who reverted to oem air intake cured the problem!
