05 F50 rear view camera question

I would like to know how is the resolution on the rear view camera of the 05 F50? I would imagine much clearer then what is on the 02-04 models.

My second question is- Has anyone upgraded their rear veiw camera from a newer model F50? The camera that comes with the 02-04 is good enough but as I sit in the car everyday and get bored with it, im always looking for new ways to upgrade it. Thanks

I haven't driven an earier model, but the camera in my '05 Q45 is pretty good. There are a few times when bright sunlight washes out the picture, but I just turn around and look over my shoulder then. Most of the time it works fine though, and at night, my backup lights illuminate the area behind the car just fine. I was surprised at how good the picture is.

You might want to try to find an '05 to see how much better the camera is than in your car before you spend the money.

Chances of me finding an 05 Q45 are slim. I guess ill give it a shot though. The picture on the earlier models is not that clear compared to rear view cameras I have seen on Lexus models. The quality is similiar to a old cell phone picture
