We all know that the seatbelts used in the 05 suck...but I'm wondering if everyone has a touchy lock mechanism for the passenger belt? I get complaints from passengers that the thing locks up. You can hear the clicking when you pull it moderately fast (much slower than the drivers side engagement). Is this a faulty belt??

take it to the dealer! That is safty... I wouldn't mess with that!

I guess too fast is better than too slow??

I was just wondering if it was a widespread problem or a problem with my car...

I don't know in the 05 but for the 07+ sedan does it only if you already in gear and roll and/or steping on the brake. Sometimes I take off when my wifes buckle off and it does it. Only if I take off and she pulls a bit faster the belt. It never does it when the car is not in D. It is more sensitive in drive.

That is normal and make sense. I don't know if you are experiencing the same or not.
