05 altima oem fog light switch

i bought the oem fog light kit for my 05 altima from courtesyparts.com. The kit came with instructions on how to install them so as i came close to the end of the install and i was testing out the fogs lights it says that the fog lights should come on with the low beams off and the fog light switch on and it does not,the only time the come on is if i have the low beams on and the fog light switch on. Is there something i forgot to do? also my altima does not have automatic headlights also. Could the switch itself be bad ?

Unfortunately the fog lights only work with the headlights on (this can be corrected) and auto headlights requires more than just a switch.
