Hello folks, I have been trying to learn about what causes the excessive front tire inner edge wear on the Z's other than being toed out too much. I read that caster ,and camber are not adjustable on the front of an 04 Z. Is there something else in the front suspension made of rubber that dries out, and cracks that can cause this? I had a guy I met at a car show that had a Z just like mine tell me there is something rubber that you can see cracked ,just by looking at the suspension. I looked under there and could see no such part. Any advice, and or suggestions , much appreciated !
Thanks Rick.

You can get Eibach upper arms to for additional adjustments for toe, camber and caster. If your alignment shop can't get the toe set right then you surely will eat the snot out of tires.

That funny, I was going to mention the SPL control arms.

I'd take it to an alignment shop and get everything all squared up like Aud already mentioned, it might also be worth it to buy a lifetime alignment if your local shop has one.

Tire feathering and cupping was an issue with the early 350Z, so much so that Nissan actually released a TSB regarding it. I think some small part of it was owners being unaware of how quickly performance summer tires wear down, but there was some fault on the Nissan end as well - so the TSB.

Welcome to NICO! :badger

SPL makes suspension parts. The front and rear camber kits that Eibach sell are actually made by SPL

I thought it was SPC that was by Eibach, isnt SPL its own brand?

OP, i just bought and installed the spc front control arms, Just like audi said it will help further adjustments for aligning your tires thus helping for more even tire wear.

Just as Badger said the earlier models did indeed have tire feather issues, excessive road noise on braking or low speed cruising. I got pretty sick of the noise and went ahead and bought two new re050 tires for the front. My car now feels, sounds and drives like a cloud.
