I have an '04 with the Bose system. I'd like an AUX input to the stereo. Can I use the SAT input for that? Where in the multi-pin connector would I "plug" the wiring for the AUX connector? Which pins specifically?
Anybody have any idea why I can't open the factory service manuals? I'm a brand new member, activated Jul 19.

Some progress, I can open FSM now. Looks like the SAT input is a red herring? I had hoped the SAT module output was analog left/right channels, but it appears not. I suppose if I get rambunctous I could sacrifice the CD player for an AUX input. I don't use CDs in the car anymore anyway.

I have an 04 g35x and my stereo had problems with in months after buying the car. Audio goes completely out, it used to come back on but VERY rarely comes on these days.
I will be driving and hear a loud pop, like the speakers just received power, and sound will flow through. I have an auxiliary cable in my armrest but never could get anything to play through it. Looked up the dash replacement for an after-market stereo and it to this day is sold by one company and is $200 bucks!
I always figured id end up getting it anyway but between work and running into multiple mechanical problems a very overpriced after-market stereo harness made its way further and further to the bottom of the g35 to-do list.
Was wondering do you happen to have the auxiliary cord inside of your armrest, and have you had any problems with your stereo audio going out on you?

No, my factory stereo seems to work fine. My car doesn't have an AUX input or cable in the arm rest. I'm replacing the whole thing, anyway. I bought the high-dollar Metra trim kit and an Alpine head unit. I've got an amp in the trunk and all new speakers.
