04 Se-R Spec V

I am going to look at a 2004 Sentra SE-R Spec V with 70k miles tonight. Is there anything I should know in advance about these cars? What is important to look at other than maintenance history and overall condition of the vehicle? Is $7000 a decent price?

7000 is a good price for an 04 Spec that's in really good shape. One thing I'd look for is see if it still has the stock exhaust manifold. If it does, get a compression test done before you buy it. The pre cat's on the 2.5's have been known to come apart and damage the engine internals, causing oil consumption and lack of compression.

If that checks out, and the car is in good shape, I'd go for it. I have 71,000 on my 06 and it has been a very solid car so far (I've always had a Honda, and will never go back). Like any vehicle, as long as you take care of it it will be good to you.
