Well, I just bought this 04 QX56 114,xxx from a used car lot in Tallahassee,fl.
Ran well, has magnaflows mufflers, sounds great. Well, here is the problem it won't start. I found in this forum about the ipdm fuse box. I got a new one from kraft nissan today, and it did the same. I'm so upset, lucky my son lets me barrow his honda crx. Well here is what's doing. it wants to start but, is like not getting fuel or spark. I'm not a mechanic so I have no idea. Whenever I'm about to start it, the headlights come ON and OFF, the fans stay ON(no horns/sirens). from trying and trying to start the damn thing, I drain the battery, so I got a new one. I'm thinking it has to do with the anti-theft system. but don't know what to do in that area. The place I bought the QX56 only gave me 1 key and remote. the anti-theft system, son says looks to be factory. Before I take it to the dealer, any body had a similar problem and got it fixed them selves?

was running for two weeks, been trying to get it running for like 4 days now.

Unfortunately, problems with starting can be caused by many things. Without having specific experience with a particular car enough to know what certain symptoms might point to, you will likely need to follow the troubleshooting diagnostics found in the factory service manual. One thing you might do is borrow or purchase an OBDII scanner to see if there are any stored codes in the ECM. It may point you in the right direction, but there are many problems that may not trigger a code at all. But if you want to try to tackle this repair yourself and perhaps even in the future, having a codereader is extremely helpful as many of the diagnostic procedures requires a scanner as you will need to test if certain things work by forcing a code to appear under specific conditions. And if codes to appear, having a quick way to delete them is quite helpful as well.
