Engine light on and OBD code is P1284 has anyone experience this? I was looking at the Service Manual it seems a lot of visual checks. Should I just replace a couple sensors or what? Any ideas or assistance is much appriciated..

If I replace the O2 sensor would that do the trick?

Update: Replaced the 02 sensor 1 Bank 2 and it got rid of the engine light. Now I am having some hard starting problems. It would start then if you drive far then turn off the engine and then start again it will just turn but not go through. I think I tried starting about 4 times then finally it started. I made 3 stops and same results. I think it's the alternator. What would be the best way to test the alternator?
