We have a 2004 3.5 liter se. There is coolant leaking abundantly from under the van, right by firewall, driver's side. I assume this is the water pump but I know what happens when you assume. Anyone know where a video showing the entire process is? Do I have to remove entire engine?

39 views and nobody know?

My hubby got under the van, well he lifted it so he could get under it, cause we all know there is no room under this bad boy! We can see water/coolant leaking from what looks like a metal tube or hose. Put water in radiator and it leaks out this hose. :wtf2:

we had a backyard mechanic friend of ours stop buy last night to see if he coul figure it out and he couldn't see where this pipe/hose was coming. Maybe this is something to do with the heating/coolong system?

Please, if you are taking the time to read this and if you have any ideas as to what we are dealing with please respond, I will be forever grateful. I know that's not much. we are supposed to be leaving for our 1 summer vacation to the grandparents house next week. I'm checking every nissan site I can find and NICO club seems like the most active. if you've got any ideas, please reply. You might just save this families summer!

Obviously, my reply is too late (your post was a year ago). There are a few videos on YouTube (2004 Nissan Quest Timing Chain Replacement) showing the water pump as part of a timing chain removal/replacement video. These videos show everything...you have to take off some goodies on the passenger side of the engine to get to anything and it is not for the weak of heart. I had mine replaced (and all hoses) when I had the infamous timing chain/guides project knocked out.
