04 quest se information display

Ok just bought this car and the display screen was dark no radio figured I could fix it got the radio working I can change stations but nobuttons work except the volume n tune knobs also I can shine a light on the display and see the clock and climate controls but is very dim and no radio or anything else thought it was a fuse. All r good all three boxes got a new display plugged in same thing at this point I'm lost plz help

You are not getting power to the display light from the sound of it. Am I reading you correctly that the display shows the text, but does not illuminate?
