04 Pathy p/s pump FIT 01 Infinty QX4? Direct replacement?

Ive been trying to search this, I found a used PS pump off an 04 pathfinder 3.5L kinda local, and I need one for my 01 inqx4.

As far as I can research, infinity put the VQ in the qx4 from 01-03, but it seems the pathfinder may have gotten it until 04?

Just need a few quick people to reassure, its only like $60

Ok, first off, go get a Factory Service Manual here:

Then, go here:

Compare the 04 pathfinder (same as a QX4) rack and pump parts to your 01. Mu guess would be that the part numbers are the same or near identical. THey'll have spreads you can compare the parts. That should help you with the what if's and what not's.

Beyond that, just make sure you've got a spare vehicle for a parts runner and you're set.

thanks for that info, Ive got a service manual, but it shows nothing that i can find on swapping PS pumps or even the steering rack for that matter

And i was unable to find the PN for a 01 qx4 to compare it to

No, look at the 04 pathfinder. It's nearly identical to a QX4.

I think you need to look harder in the FSM. I found the removal and installation for my year in my FSM.
