It wont start without pressing the gas then runs fine. Very rarely will it start without pressing the gas. Did not have this issue until it sat for a month with the battery unhooked. Tried these reset procedures how-to-ecu-relearning-procedures-t445702.html but didnt solve issue. Anyone have this problem? No cel btw

How old is the gasoline? Some people have that vehicle that gets used once or twice a week, so that it takes two or more months to use up the last tank fill, by then the gas may not ignite so easily

Well, it could be a number of things, so here's some quick and easy things you can try to narrow it down a bit. Next time, before trying to crank it, turn the key to the On position, keep it there for 2 seconds, then turn it off. Repeat this 4 or 5 times, then try starting without pressing the gas pedal.

Also try a fuel system cleaner (Seafoam?) or fill up with something like Chevron and drive it for an hour or so.

If neither of those bear fruit, pull the intake boot off and check your throttle body. If the inside is black or has excessive carbon buildup, try cleaning it. Also, listen under the hood while the engine is running and see if you can hear any vacuum leaks.

Are there any circumstances where it starts up with no complaints (when it's warm, cold, only been off for a minute, etc.)?

Try those things and let us know what you find!

So after further investigating it only does it when the vehicle is warmed up. Starts fine when cold. Gas isnt old at all

Ok, I have a specific thing to check then. Pull the engine cover off, pull the vacuum hose off of the fuel pressure regulator, and smell the hose. If it reeks of gas it's probably bad and I can give you the steps to verify that. The fuel pressure regulator is the silver piece with the vacuum hose coming out the top in the middle of this picture.
