04 Pathfinder and my idle will shoot up in park or and bounces when slowing down to pull up to redlights. Once I am stopped in drive sitting at a redlight with my foot on brake, idle goes back to normal. If I place truck back in park, the idle shoots back up and holds. Sometimes my RPMs are around 2k in park. The check engine light came on this week and the shows code is P0507 (idle air control revolutions per minute higher than expected).

Where or what do I start looking at to fix this issue?

Thanks

Try running a 20oz bottle of Chevron Techron in a full gas tank. Also clean the throttle body using throttle body cleaning spray only.

I uses techtron at every oil change give or take. Last time I didnt use the techron but switched to the Royal Purple version. I will look at cleaning the trottle body when it warm up. If after cleaning the throttle body I still have the issue, is there anywhere else I should look?

The Royal Purple fuel system cleaner will be no more or less effective than Techron. The only one that has more PEA additive than all the rest is Redline SI-1.

If cleaning the TB doesn't help, there are a few relearn procedures you can try to perform which are described on page EC-73 of the factory service manual.
