Just wondering were I should be looking to find some performance cat-back exhaust systems for my car that isnt 900 bux! I dont wanna go cheap but theres gotta be exhausts for less than 800 or 900 bux for a 04 SL? Please help! I'm new to modding nissans. But not new to modding cars. My other car is modded but this is the wifes car and she wants to start modding. thanks

Honestly, I would avoid exhaust kits altogether and instead find a good reputable exhaust shop to build you a custom setup. It won't cost much more, if any, and you'll have a lot more options that way. Find a muffler brand that you like and have the shop build you a cat-back with those mufflers.I've always been fond of Magnaflow's sound. My Maxima and Q both have Magnaflow mufflers, and both cars sound fantastic.

The cat-back on my '93 was custom built with Magnaflow mufflers and only cost me ~$300. It sounds great and has held up fine.

Just make sure the shop doesn't cheap out on materials or you could end up with your nice new exhaust rusting prematurely.

Thanks man, thats what a few people here said. I have a magnoflow cat back on my focus i like it alot. But i gotta find somebody who could do a custom dual muffler cat back cuz the wife said she wants to keep the dual exhaust. Maybe I'll just buy a cpl mufflers and find a good shop like you said. Thanks for the input!

I did the same thing, mine was done using Magnaflows as well, 04 SL too! Or I would look into Cattman axle back to avoid so much fab.

Cattman muffler/rear sections (axle-back exhausts) for 04-08 Maximas; $499.99 retail, on sale for $449.99. Then have a shop replace the resonator and run a non crimped pipe to the back axle...

Here's mine:

So what car do you have that is modded?

I drive a silver 02 Ford focus ZX3. Race 4-1 header by OBX, magnaflow cat back, AEM SRI, B&M short shifter, Stage 1 Zoom Clutch, Lowered 1.5", 17" Gloss Black Tenzo Passion 5's with machined lip, Just got new projector headlights, and new grill with clear turn signals, and ordered clear corner signals. I.C.E. pioneer head unit, pioneer 5x7's all around, 2 12" american bass DX's and a 900 watt American Bass amp. Soon to have new fod racing suspension with rear sway bar. Not a show car but a fun cruiser!
