I would only suspect the alternator if the battery AND brake lights were coming on. Generally in that case, they also fade on and off intermittently, usually correlating with RPM.

Have you re-checked the brake fluid after filling? Is it still at full? It can look full with the car off and brakes off, but once you start using the system, fluid will begin working into the system and the reservoir level can drop if fluid was particularly low when fluid was added.

I did check the brake fluid after fillling it to the max line and it stayed where I left it at maxline. I never knew that it matters if the car is on or off to check the brake fluid I guess I'll see what happens but it turns off after about 15 mins and I can turn that car off and start again it and it won't come up. I wasn to sure about the alternator or the battery cable because I didn't think that was the problem. All the pads are good I also let the car roll on neutral to see if any brakes touched no they didn't..thanks for the tips any other ideas worst scenario have to take down to the dealer-waste of the day

I have an 04 6MT and mine does the same thing once it gets cold out. Had it checked and no errors in the system. No fix for the light coming on..
