My 04 Maxima's heater will not get warm at slow speeds. Anyone else had that problem? I can start the car mornings to warm up, the cabin does not get warm until I start moving at traveling speeds. Freezing to death!

Just throwing some stuff out there, but possibly thermostat or more likely a clog in the cooling system. You can try flushing it out and making sure you don't have any air in the system. Other than that, bad heater core?

I'd make sure you've done some diagnostic work before just throwing some parts at the problem.

So the car heats up but no hot air blows? Can you hear the fan? It's pretty loud on the top three or so speed settings.

Try turning the heater on..

It could be a couple things, but thermostat seems more likely than the heater core as you said you eventually get heat.

It could be a problem with the blend door not closing. This would allow outdoor air into the air box.

The problem is you have AIR in the cooling system and it is stuck in your heater core. When you bring the RPM up it pushs more coolant thru and heats up.

Easiest way to fix is lay a paper clip under the seal of your radiator cap put it back on crisssross the paper clip to keep the seal from sealing in the radiator

Raise front of car high as poss on a hill or jack stands ect, Take the coolant overflow bottle loose, Hang it from the hood latch striker with a coat hagner or wire.

Make sure the overflow bottle is topped off and let the car run for awhile squezzing the upper radiator hose at times and gently reving the engine to get the air out. Once the air is out your heat will work correctly

It takes some time (usually 30 mintues or so) to get the air out.

Check your cap and make sure the seal is not swelled up. Keep your overflow bottle topped of to prevent it from happening again.
