'04 M45 LED tail lights install w/ LED turn signal bulbs

today, I installed a pair of Y34 Japanese LED tail lights that are factory smoked, unlike the ones most other folks on the list own. I got the set used from some folks over in Japan. I wanted to take it a step further so I also ordered BAU15S LED 13W high power LED (amber) turn signal bulbs from the same vendor I got my license plate LED lights from. the link for the turn signal bulbs is:http://cgi.ebay.com/2pcs-7507-...wItem

the LED bulbs don't bleed orange through the reflector of the Japanese housing like the amber bulbs that come with those housings as you can see in the photo album below

the light output is very similar to the factory incandescent bulbs in intensity. NOTE: I would NOT install these LED's in the normal red factory housing; the reflector will block a lot of the rear facing light in the normal factory housing., unlike in the open Japanese LED housing.

THEREFORE, I ONLY recommend the LED turn signal bulbs to LED tail light housing owning '03-'04 M45's!

Now for the problems....

You would need to also purchase an LED LOAD RESISTOR PACK like the one in the following link:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA...h=008

Otherwise, your turn signals will flash faster than the normal rate they normally flash. NOTE: this faster flashing only occurs when you are using the turn signals to go left or right. The hazard lights still flash at the same regular factory rate.I can live with this faster rate until my resistors arrive, it's not unbearable, but it is strange.

So that's it in a nutshell... Use LED turn signals with LED housings ONLY, and buy Load resistors to keep the flashing rate normal.
