My car wouldnt start yesterday-the lights would come on but it wouldnt turn over..finally today after giving it gas it started and drove fine to advance auto and was put on the machine and came back w/ no electrical errors...when leaving the SLIP and VDC OFF light's came on and the tires were turning but the car was stalling...I'm really worried this could be the transmission...HELP:(

The slip and VDC light coming on and staying on can be a lot of things.

What happens if you just turn the car off wait a min and turn it back on?

You need to find someone with a ODBII code scanner that can check for stored codes or pending codes.

when I turned it off and back on it would start ok-just driving the wheels wouldnt get a grip almost like I was driving in snow or something. I recently got two new back tires on the car. I'm really worried it could be the transmission

my car is still @ firestone and they aren't getting any errors from the machine, they have driven it a few times and it's starting now w/ out any issues however the VDC OFF and SLIP lights are still on, could this be a transmission problem?

you would have a "CHECK AT" light illuminated on the dash if your transmission were failing.

The slip and vdc light illuminating and staying on is a MALFUNCTION indicator.

I am guessing you have a sensor that is failing but you need a code to figure out which sensor it is.

My 07 G had a similar issue and it was traced back to intermittant failing of the connection on one of the cam shaft position sensors. My Infiniti dealership fixed it by pushing a T pin like you use on a bulliten board through the connector to make the connection tighter.

VDC Off, Engine Service & Slip light were all on. Car had trouble starting. Took to local Nissan dealer and determined the CRANK & CAM Sensors needed to be replaced. ($731USD). Sounds expensive right? Paying the price, need my car.

Found the article below regarding an earlier recall (I never received any information on BTW). Wondering if this would still apply to my situation?

2003 Infiniti G35 Recall ID from NHTSA: 03V455000Auto Recall Date: 11/17/2003 Vehicle Component: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING Estimated Vehicles Affected: 630000 2003 INFINITI G35 Defect Summary: ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES, THE CIRCUIT BOARD FOR THE CRANK POSITION SENSOR OR CAM POSITION SENSOR MAY HAVE AN IMPROPER SOLDER JOINT DUE TO SOLDER DEFORMATION CAUSED BY HEAT STRESS ACCELERATED BY THE EXISTENCE OF FLUX RESIDUE DURING THE SOLDERING PROCESS. Defect Consequence:THIS COULD CAUSE THE "SERVICE ENGINE SOON" WARNING LIGHT TO COME ON, CREATE A NO START CONDITION, CAUSE REDUCED ENGINE POWER, OR CAUSE THE ENGINE TO STOP RUNNING WITHOUT WARNING DURING VEHICLE OPERATION, WHICH COULD RESULT IN A CRASH. Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE CRANK POSITION SENSORS. CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR(S), AND IN SOME CASES, THE VARIABLE TIMING CONTROL SENSOR(S). VEHICLES INVOLVED IN A PREVIOUS RECALL CAMPAIGN, 01V357, ARE ALSO INCLUDED IN THIS NEW CAMPAIGN. THE REPLACEMENT SENSORS USED IN THAT CAMPAIGN ARE ALSO AFFECTED. OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN ON DECEMBER 22, 2003. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT NISSAN AT 1-800-647-7261 1-800-647-7261 OR INFINITI AT 1-800-662-6200 1-800-662-6200 . if the recall hasn't been performed on your vehicle and your VIN was in the range, then the dealer is obligated to let you know and service the vehicle at not out-of-pocket cost to you. ANy other work performed doesn't fall under this category, though, including TSBs.

This situation can happen, like OP, when you put 2 new tires on and the other 2 tires are older. Difference in tread height can affect overall tire diameter and can throw off the VDC.
