i have an 04 g35 auto. if i dont come to a complete stop before shifting into drive (which i know your supposed to do) it pops the starter fuse and the car will not accelerate unless i replace the fuse put it in park and restart the car. every time it does this it also throws a check engine code that my code reader cant identify. its not a problem if i come to a complete stop but i have never heard of this happening to anyone before. any ideas as to why this is happening?

Unless the starter is engaged it should not have any contact with the flywheel at all (I'm assuming you have a manual transmission). I'd say you have an issue with the starter.

You will have to remove it and take it to a auto parts place.

Are you talking when you are backing up you have to come to a complete stop before moving it to Drive or any time you stop?

Yes, you need a multimeter to measure the amount of current the starter draws.

Find a automotive electrical shop that rebuilds starters and alternators. They have the necessary equipment to test yours
