04 G35 Coupe Hops when I break loose the tires

Sorry for the dumb question but I am new to the Infinity world I have always had Mustangs.

But my questions is.

When I take off at and break the tires loose the car seem to hop. Is this normal. And is thier a way to fix this problum. Thanks for your help- New-be

This is wheel hop and is normal with cars that have independent rear suspension setups....not a solid axle like a mustang....welcome to the world of a car that handles

on a side note for you....my car does this only when the VDC is on...when i turn if off and really get them to spin is smooth as silk...only does it when its barely breaking traction.

Yep! I that happened to me too. First and second time it happened, I thought I was riding a horse--- a wild mustang. I feel like I am in a Rodeo when this happens. The G -35 is an unusual car in many ways and it behaves in an unusual manner. I guess this is what makes its owners love it to death.

Did you ever notice that extra shock, mounted at an angle on the rear axle of the Mustang? I think they called it an axle damper. That was there to stop the axle (wheel) hop. The Infiniti doesn't have this. The best way to stop it, and save tires at the same time is to...(sorry)...

Thanks for the help on this I thought it my have something to do with IRS.I guess thier so not much to do about it it sounds but I do love the G35 I have a 06 sedan G35 and a 04 G35 Coupe 6Mt love them both They are a fun car to drive just need to do some mods into it to make some more HP out of it.

Do any of you know if the upchip makes a big diference thies cars?
