'04 G35 Coupe headlight swap to '06 headlights - need help

I am looking at swapping my stock headlights ('04 G35 coupe) with '06 headlights. I have read multiple posts on multiple forums, but none have really answered my question(s) clearly.

Only one of the '06 headlights I purchased came with the ballast wire. Are the ballast wires from the '04 headlight compatible with the '06?

Or should I take both ballasts and ballast wires from the '04 and do a straight swap so the only thing different is the housing?

Does the clearance strip in the '06 headlight light up like in the '04?

Any other tips or things to look for so as to avoid headaches during this process will be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure on the ballast stuff. But, the '06 headlights do NOT light up on the clearance strips.

Thanks again Jerome. Hopefully somebody will be able to get back to me about the ballasts and wiring.

Cross your fingers I'm as good with a dremel as I believe I am and we'll see if some '06 headlights don't have a clearance strip that lights up.

There are some '06 projector retro-fit guides on other G35 forums. They show how to put the '06 projectors into your '03-'05 housing. That way, you can keep your clearance strips and do the CCFL light strip mod

I have a set of 06 lights for sale.

Also, the 04 ballast should be plug-and-play with the 06 lights.
