Had the seat motor and assembly replaced last summer and the seat stopped moving on it's own. Now, it's moving again. :frown:
Usually just a fraction of an inch. Sometimes forward, sometimes backwards.
Mainly on bumpy roads.
Immediately after it moves backwards, the forward button will not work.
Until, I adjust the seat UP, then it will go forward.

Does anybody know how to fix my possessed seat?? :gotme

Not sure man...it seems those 03-04 G's have their share of problems.

Do you use the backseat behind the driver? You could get the seat where you want it, then pull the fuses...

What about a warranty on the motor? Where did you have the work done?

Wife sometimes drives it, so pulling the fuse might not work as a permanent fix, BUT, my daughter will be driving the coupe to the beach this summer, so might be god to pull it before she leaves!! Thanks!!

The seat motor was replaced under my Nissan extended warranty last summer.
My extended warranty is up now.....just seems like it would be in the switch as opposed to the motor....

Oh, and the clear coat is now pealing behind the sun roof.... $550 to have that fixed.
Might try wet-sanding and a rattle can........

If you have time would pull the seat and take the covers off the wires, has to be something loose or something for it to be doing it over bumpy roads.

Haven't taken these seats out before. Pretty ez?? Guess I'll look in the FSM.
But, would a loose wire or connection make the seat move???? Without the switch engaging?
Will try jarring the switch on the way home to see if that does anything.

Maybe its jarring the switch or a wire and thinking that the switch is being depressed. Or maybe the switch itself is jarring.

For the seats.
4 bolts.
After popping off the plastic covers.
Unbolt front, move seat forward, unbolt the back, then I move the seat to about the middle.
Then unhook the battery, let it sit for 15 mins or so.
Pick up seat and lean it back to unhook the 3 connectors on the bottom
Pull it out of the car.

When putting back in, just make sure to hook the connectors back up before reattaching the battery.

MORE INFO........
I normally keep my seat lowered all the way with a slight tilt back.

In this position, I can move the switch back and forth and it works OK, then it will stop going forward. Then, it will start going back just a click as I push the switch forward. Next, I can raise the seat slightly and then the forward/backward switch will start working again.....

I'm going to start driving with the seat slightly raised to see if it stops moving on it's own....
