I notice behind the sun roof a month ago and it's now about 1 foot by 8 inches.
Yesterday I saw two small white spots on my trunk and it's the same thing. I rubbed one to see if it was something that would come off and the clear flaked... :frown:

Anybody else??
Got an estimate about the top and it was $550 to fix. Don't know what it will be with the trunk too.

Man, add that to the 03-04 years problems...sorry to hear man.

Are you sure its not under warranty? Does it have a 10 year for paint/body defects??

Recently bought 2 sets of rotors and 3 sets of brake pads and 4 new tires and 2 sets of wiper blades...none of which went on the coupe...

any opening bids??? :gotme

Have now taken it to my insurance company since the peeling is in the same locations as those white spots that showed up suddenly a while back.
bad-spots-in-paint-just-showed-up-how-d ... 52904.html

Contaminates are covered under comprehensive, so that's what I'm going with.

I took it to a local body shop where a Traveler's Insurance guy works and he seemed to think it was contaminates too. He took picks to send to my adjuster.
Then, the adjuster called and said that it appeared to be wear and tear... :squint:
I told him that I disagreed since the peeling is isolated to the same areas where the spots were. So, I emailed them both the pics in the thread above and he said they would re-evaluate. That was 830AM yesterday.
I called at 3:30PM yesterday to see where they were. Still reviewing.....
Asked if I needed to take it to another body shop with my pics to get an expert opinion....since I'm not an expert and he said not at this point.

Here is one of the pics from the old thread above. spots showed up on the top behind the sunroof and on the trunk lid.

Does look like soemething got under the clearcoat.

Wouldn't mind having your daughter, but she'd be expensive and wanting a G35 or something similar soon I'm sure.

haha, we have been looking at cars. Hopefully, she will get a job at the place she did her internship this summer. Pretty cool place!

On her list (new and used):
mustang, G35/G37, 350Z/370Z, Altima coupe, Fiesta, Juke

I think that the Juke is in the lead, but she really likes to 350/370, however not a lot of space for her canvases.
Buying my coupe is also a possibility.
She still needs to test drive the mustang, 350/370, and fiesta.

Speaking of my coupe, Traveler's called yesterday to say that they will be fixing my top and trunk under comprehensive....$100 deductible. :woot:

Got my youngest settled into his dorm at UNC-G yesterday... :frown:
We took him out to Mellow Mushroom in G-boro for dinner!!!
LOVE that philosopher's pie!!!!!! Ate a small one by myself, could have eaten a medium, but on a diet. :gapteeth:
Said that a couple girls he met asked him if he wanted to walk around campus when he got back from dinner..... I think he will be alright

^ No

Got her back from the shop! Looks great!
But, there was some roughness around the trunk lip, a run down near the tail light, and the cyclops was not lighting up (they had to remove the spoiler to pain trunk).
They fixed all before I handed over the insurance check!
Looks great!! :woot:
