Had been getting 21 MPG with 2/3 City 1/3 HW - actually more City and with a bit of 'spirited' driving.

Recent HW trip got 25.05 MPG, but was stuck in Charlotte bumper to bumper for 1/4 of the time, so I'm thinking an all HW trip would be higher.

Are these numbers good/bad/average/should be flogging it more???

pardon my ignorance, is this your report on the new coupe??? I think 25mpg is great all things considered, yes you should definately be flogging if harder... I'm yet to get over 21mpg, even on the highway.

Tell me SVT, is the coupe an auto? Did you look at the fan??? I think the coupes lucked out with the electric fan as well... (why I'm getting low mpg now).

No worries, your mileage seems better than average I'm just wondering SVT... did you "own" your G sedan you traded in, or did you pay through the nose for the coupe??? I'm still toying with that idea, I want a 6 speed brembo coupe in a bad way... but I'm still pretty fresh on the financing, you know?

21 mostly city and 25 mostly highway sounds very reasonable.

My G37S has a manual transmission and a more sophisticated engine, but weighs more. My daily commute is 34 miles round trip and 80% of that is freely flowing 60 mph interstate. Gas mileage during break in last fall was 21 mpg. It has steadily improved to 24 mpg. I don't know how much of that is due to break in (odometer now reads 6,700 miles) and how much to warmer weather. Early in June, we took it on a vacation trip to Colorado. Going west (up hill) at 75-80 mph on I-80, I-76 and I-25, we got 24 mpg. Coming back (down hill), we got between 26 and 27.

Auto, haven't looked at the fan....assume it's electric. I replaced the belts recently, and don't remember having to take them off over any blades.

I traded my 05 5AT Sedan w/55K miles for the 05 5AT Coupe w/44K miles. They gave me low-med KBB Private Party for mine. I gave them med-high KBB Private Party for theirs. So, I was OK with the deal.

Theirs had 4 new Yoko S-drives & new Nissan brakes.Mine was in need of tires and brake pads.

Plus, I got the color exterior/interior I was looking for. Plus, was a one owner southern car.

In addition, I financed thru my credit union at 4.85%

I think the coupes had electric fans, so, yeah, that's about right, if you had the 6mt, it would probably be closer to 28 highway... I'm hoping to hit 25mpg with the fan / spacer in place. Keep everyone posted
