04 altima issues , Help

i just bought an 04 nissan altima 2.5 with 80k miles on it ... i drove it for a few days and everything was just fine but lately out of nowhere as im driving it seems like the car goes on neutral and then stays on first gear and wont pass that ( automatic transmission) the dte light starts flashing and the gas gauge goes down to empty .... i must park on the side of the road and shut it down for a few minutes and start the car again and it works perfect like if nothing happened .....it does not have any leaks and the transmission fluid is clean , i think its some electrical but dont really know too much about nissans. i dont think its the transmission because when i drive it normally it shifts like butter ... i was wondering if anyone has experienced something similar or got any input .... thanks in advance

Have you checked the fluid in the transmission? It could also be the gear selector switch on the side of the trans as well, if the altima comes with one. That im not 100% on.

i checked the fluid and its clean and right level ... the selector i need to look for maybe thats whats wrong but i need to find and see where it is located .. i have been driving it for 2 days and has not acted up :/ but im still concerned it might do it one of these days ...

i had the codes p0720, p1574 and did some research and it said maybe the revolution sensor was swapped with turbine revolution sensor but i matched the colors on the wiring and its fine ... dont know what else to look for .... im just going to wait for the codes to show up again i guess
