04 1.8S stalled at light, freak occurance or is a repair coming????

After running a few errands, my 04 1.8S stumbled and stalled while stopped at a stoplight. It restarted right away but I kept the revs up until the light changed. I just filled up with gas earlier in the day, and there were no warning lights or unusual behavior. It's a manual and it was in neutral when this happened. And after that, no other strange behavior. Could this just be a one time thing, or is there some part that may be on its way out? I had to get the engine rebuilt 6 months ago, and 3 months ago the fuel pressure regulator was replaced. Not very happy here.

There was an issue with fuel pumps around that time. Have the VIN checked by a dealer for any outstanding issues.

Ummm. Maybe bad gas? Welcome to NicoClub! Do you use Super Unleaded or reg Unleaded or are you 1 of those people that go back and forth with super to reg unleaded.

Have always used 87 since new. And no, VIN does not show and fuel pump issues.

Could have been a random gas issue. Keep an eye out for coolant in the oil next time you change it. 1.8s blow headgaskets sometimes.
