I really want to update the look of my 03M with the newer 19" sport wheels. Has anyone seen this set up before? Pictures? The 19" wheel is 8.5 wide, would their be any issues with a 255/35/19 tire on this rim. I know the offset is a little different in these wheels. I am not sure how it affects the look though, will they be sunken in, or stick out more?

Any advice / help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, CD

Hello,The offset is an issue there. You might want to consider the 19" 2005-2006 Q45 Sport wheel. Looks identical with I believe the same offset as the Y34. I am afraid the Q45 wheel might be more expensive due to scarcity thoughCheers,M.L

the 20" fx45 rims have the same offset at the 03-04 M and look pretty sick.

The offset is too large ... they would not fit the 03 at all without using fairly large (like about 15 to 20mm) spacers. This means different lug nuts perhaps (depending on the spacer design) and added weight. It makes general "balancing of the wheel" more difficult, since you may have to account for non-hub-centric spacers; the wheel may have to be centered using the lug-nets rather than the hub (so more pressure on them), etc.

I consider spacers to be a bad thing to do for those reasons ... My advice: spend your money on outstanding tires for your current wheels instead! However, if you really want to change your wheels, then get ones that look similar to the Sport wheels and fit correctly ... Tire Rack has some options to consider.
